U-Wrap Knit or U-Knit Stitch
The u-knit is the stitch I use most often. I like the look of it better than the e-wrap. It’s not as fast, but once you get into a rhythm, you can get pretty close. You also have some control over how tight the stitches are by how tight you hold your working yarn against the peg. As a beginner, I made the mistake thinking I had to hold the yarn tight. This often made the stitches too tight, which makes it difficult to work the yarn as you continue. I now hold it gently against the peg so the yarn isn’t sagging,
To u-wrap, wrap the yarn around the front of the peg to the back in a clockwise motion. Lift the bottom loop over the yarn.
