The 12-Peg Flower Loom and Other Equipment

Most of the projects listed on this website are created with the 12-peg flower loom. The one I like to use is made by Darice. It is orange and sells for about $4-$5. Boye also sells one that’s blue, however I have never liked their looms. They have an extra grove around the top of the peg. It’s great and keeping the yarn from slipping of the peg, but it also “catches” the yarn when you’re trying to knit. I generally don’t have issues with the loops slipping off the peg, so this extra feature is just annoying.

I’ve included a link to the Darice one below. I’ve also found them at Michael’s.

If you do a lot of knitting, you will want to get an ergonomic loom hook. And since they are easy to misplace, buy at least two of them.

It’s also a good idea to have several pairs of scissors and a few plastic needles (used to tuck the threads in at the end of your project). Both of these are also commonly misplaced as you’re working.
