History of Loom Knitting and Copyright Notice
Loom knitting has been traced back to the Middle Ages in France, Germany and Great Britian. Through the years it has been known as rake knitting, French knitting, knitting in the round, frame knitting among other things.
Recently a new wave of popularity has occurred for loom knitting leading to an influx of webpages and YouTube videos devoted to loom knitting. But it also makes giving credit to specific techniques and patterns virtually impossible.
Most of the complex patterns including the milk cap, ball with tail(s), muse and door hanger were developed by me. At least, I was unable to find any similar pattern done with a loom. All the instructions included in this book were written by me. Of course, given what is described, the phrases I use may be exactly the same as other patterns. (There’s only so many ways to say “wrap the working yarn around the peg” or “make a slip knot.”)
